" Paxon's Journey"

This painting was inspired by a little boy's journey to heaven.

The young boy in this painting is flying on his dad's shoulders. I purposely placed him there because the dad unrightly carries the burden of his son's death. If you look

closely you will see three butterflies' silhoettes emerging from the boy (they are very light) and he turns in to a full butterfly landing on the hand of God. The hand of God is blended in the clouds.
